Volunteering gives you a behind the scenes look at the ministry and message of WAY-FM, and is a great way to interact with our staff. Our volunteers are an important part of WAY-FM. We wouldn't get through pledge drives or events without their help!
A monthly e-newsletter is published to keep our volunteers informed of opportunities to serve. Below are current needs and doesn’t necessarily reflect all opportunities available at any given time.
1. Front Desk Support
Our Administrative Support department needs help to answer our switchboard and greet guests to the ministry center. Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers can work in shifts from as little as 1 day a week for 2 hours, to covering a full day, one or more days a week. Any time you may have would be appreciated. Our phone system is easy to learn and our staff will train you and help with any questions while serving.
2. Concerts and Events Team
This fun and exciting opportunity will help our staff to accomplish many tasks for our concerts and community events. If you are interested in joining our Concerts and Events Team, please fill out the form below and our Volunteer Coordinator will get you plugged in. General tasks are:
- Posting flyers and posters to community boards in our listening areas
- Merchandise sales to help raise funds for the ministry
- Greeters to hand out flyers for future events and information from our sponsors
- Prize wheel and fun zone assistants
- Runners to help with errands for the artists and production crews
3. Assisting the Business Development Department
In this position, you will assist by adding contacts to online CRM database; taking information from files, reports, etc. and add each account to an online customer relationship management software program. Skills Needed: data entry and CRM database experience needed; this requires a little more than just transferring information. 2-4 hours per week, between 8:30am - 1:30pm.
