Donna, I was listening to way fm friday around 11:30 when i heard a conversation between you and a caller about the new american idol judge. The caller was saying that he would not watch the show because of the new judge ellen, you said that you dont agree with boycotting ,because everybody has sins , but most people cover it up and nobody knows about our sins Well something like that .Anyways I strongly disagree as a christian when you sin you repent and turn from that sin . Not live it everyday ,like ellen ,however thats her business. We as chrisitans are to love the person not the sin,but i think like the caller this show will not be watched in my home , to many Americans compromise with people and their sin ,its becoming to accepted ,christains need make a stand and if it takes boycotting some tv shows then so be it ,maybe these producers will start making some decent programs. Thanks, lisa p.
Amen! I totally agree. We have to take a stand against the sin of this world. I will also be boycotting American Idol. Yes, we all have sin, but we are to repent of those sins. I am not going to support someone who is promoting ****sexuality. Not in my home!
i also agree i will not be watching american idol either. i hate that i can't watch it because i love to hear people sing. but i don't agree with ellen's lifestyle and i teach my children not to live this way and i also agree with lisa p, you sin you repent and turn away not keep living in sin. your not saved unless you turn from it and repent and try with all your might with help from the Lord to never do it again. bible says to separate yourselves from people who know better but don't repent and turn from it. love the person not the sin. but that doesn't mean to pat that person on the back and pet them like it's ok.

Posted by Holly onThe only way I kicked the habit was to pray that the Lord would make me feel extremely sick when I ate it. That and the fact heart disease runs in my family and it takes a toll on your heart process. I had to do the same with fast foods. Now when I eat both I wake up feeling like death. Praise God!!

Raise Prices of Soda & Pizza
Posted by Gail Smith onI caught just a few minutes of your conversation on the radio about raising the prices on soda & pizza, to help with our health?? I must say it really irked me that time would even be considered on this subject. Has the economy turned around? Do we still have a high unemployment rate in this country? Our our gas prices, food prices and everything else going up...except of course, our pay?? God please save us from the decisions of the ignorant rich man!!!

Posted by Kayla McNatt onDonna, I listen to you through iTunes everyday at work and in my car on the hour ride each way everyday. I've got 3 daughters, 10, 5, & 3 months... and the older two will sing the songs in the car and while walking around the house... This music has truly touched my heart and brought me closer to God over the past couple of months... I hope that the music will help me encourage my husband to come closer to God and be a strong spiritual leader in our home. I decided to donate Monday morning during Wally's first broadcast of this pledge drive and I hope that I will soon be able to offer more financially to this amazing ministry that has done so much for me. Thank you!
evolution and state law
Posted by Jeff onDear Ms. Cruz, A little after 11 this morning you mentioned a State passing a law allowing Teachers the freedom to not punish a child for believing in creationism. I'm a lab tech, and have "science" drilled into my head since a child. I'm also a Christian. I have a unique view point that I'd like to share. What if evolution was just a tool? Equate it to this please: You and a friend are wondering around the desert for 40 years, and come across a wood plank with a metal spike in it. One of you decides that it had to be pounded in there by a hammer (evolution), and the other one decides that it is the work of a Carpenter. I imagine a debate going like this: "this is the work of a hammer"..."No, this is definitely the work of a carpenter"... It sounds almost as silly as the debates I used to get into with my friends over Ford and Chevy. I really don't care if God used a Stanley or a Plum, a ball pin hammer, a sledge, or a claw. All I really care about is that he exists. We equate God to a carpenter, an artist, a sculptor, but none of us equate him to a magician until we discuss creationism. God created the world in 7 days because Genesis said so.... poof and done. No one, knows how or why he did it or even how 7 days equates to earth time. All we really know is that he did it, and here we are. Quit arguing over hammers and get to the real issue the Carpenter. Also, this would allow a christian child to study evolution in school and realize that it's just a tool, all part of the plan. There is no debate, no one really cares how He did it, that's far beyond our comprehension and that should be a relief to people.
Evolution
Posted by Jeff onDear Ms. Cruz. Earlier today you mentioned that one of our States was debating a law that gave teachers freedom to not discipline a child whom believed in creationism. I am a lab tech and grew up with a strong background in science. I am also a christian. I'd like to share my view point which I feel is unique. It occurred to me one day that evolution is a tool. No one debates that a hammer is used to build a house. Imagine walking through the desert for many years and we discover a wood plank with a metal spike through it. I turn to you and say that a hammer definitely did this, and you say "No, this was definitely done by a carpenter." Sounds almost as silly as my child hood debates trying to decide if Ford or Chevy was the better truck. Everyday God is being described as a carpenter, artist, or sculptor. However, I've never heard a pastor call him a magician, yet he spoke into the darkness and "poof" the earth, the heaven, the stars were all created. We don't know the hows and whys he created us. We know he took 6 days and on the 7th he rested. How does 7 days equate to people (earth) time? Do any of us know, do any of us care? Can evolution and creationism both exist? Do we really care? Are we debating between Stanley's and Plum's? We should be giving credit to the Carpenter and not the hammer, however if we want to teach about the hammer in school? What's the big deal?
